PRN Health and Wellness - COVID-19 Oral Prescription Treatment Campaign 2023

A leading oral antiviral increased brand awareness and influenced future use of COVID-19 Oral Prescription Treatments among Walmart shoppers that visited the Pharmacy department, used the Walmart Health Center kiosk and saw the unbranded video with audio on the kiosk while completing an assessment

Campaign Objective

A leading pharma company aired a nationwide unbranded campaign promoting their COVID-19 Oral Prescription Treatments on health and blood pressure kiosks in the Pharmacy department across Walmart stores nationwide for 35 weeks from 5/1/23 – 12/31/23. Campaign aired 15 sec unbranded video with audio on the blood pressure video pre-results media placement in all user sessions only (no top sign or banner media).

Results

Based on self reported shopper mobile survey data, the campaign delivered double digit increases in future behavioral intent with regard to asking, using, and recommending the use of COVID-19 Oral Prescription Treatments:

  • 25% increase in likelihood of asking their pharmacist about oral prescription treatments to aid in COVID-19 recovery if and when they got COVID-19
  • 24% increase in likelihood to recommend oral prescription treatments to aid in COVID-19 recovery to others

Research Approach

A third-party research partner, MFour Mobile Research, collected a total of 600 mobile interviews from June 16, 2023 to December 31, 2023, among Walmart shoppers who were a prescription purchase influencer/decision maker and visited the Pharmacy/Health department, used the kiosk and saw the unbranded video with audio on the blood pressure video pre-results media placement.
